Nino De Brown Teams Up With Rhapsodic Records New Signing Sholex Timbo On New Single “Money”
Nigerian Afrobeats artist Nino De Brown joins forces with Rhapsodic Records’ newest signing, artist and producer Sholex Timbo, on his latest single, “Money,” a reflective yet infectious record that explores the complicated relationship between wealth, happiness, ambition, and desire.
At the heart of “Money” is a simple but relatable contradiction: money may not be able to buy happiness, but that doesn’t stop people from wanting it.
The song captures this idea through its opening lines:
“Money no dey buy happiness, I know am
But still I want am
Money be the root of all evil, I hear am
But still I want am”
Rather than presenting money purely as a symbol of success or greed, Nino De Brown uses the record to examine why people continue to chase it despite understanding its limitations. The lyrics reflect the everyday reality of ambition wanting more, dreaming bigger, and pursuing financial freedom while recognizing that wealth alone cannot provide everything life has to offer.
While Nino De Brown brings his melodic Afrobeats sensibilities and distinctive delivery to the record, Sholex Timbo plays a central role as both a featured artist and the producer of “Money.” The collaboration introduces audiences to Sholex Timbo’s creative versatility as he contributes not only his artistry to the record but also shapes its sonic direction.
As a newly signed artist and producer under Rhapsodic Records, Sholex Timbo continues to establish himself as a creative force with the ability to move between performance and production. His work on “Money” adds a contemporary and engaging soundscape that complements Nino De Brown’s introspective songwriting.
With “Money,” Nino De Brown continues to explore stories rooted in everyday experiences, while Sholex Timbo makes a strong introduction as one of Rhapsodic Records’ emerging creative talents.
“Money” is produced by Sholex Timbo, is out now on all major streaming platforms.
