Liberian/Ghanaian singer and songwriter Cena has released her latest single, “Superman,” a feel-good romantic record that celebrates love, admiration, and the special feeling of finding someone who makes life feel a little brighter.
“Superman” is inspired by the idea of having that one special person who feels almost like a superhero — someone who comes through when you need them, makes you feel safe and loved, protects your heart, and reminds you that genuine love still exists.
Through the song, Cena captures the excitement of finding someone who feels like your person. Rather than focusing solely on romance, “Superman” explores the emotional comfort, admiration, and security that can come with having someone truly special in your life.
Born in Ghana and raised with strong Liberian roots, Cena brings a unique African perspective to her music. Her sound blends Afropop, Pop, and R&B, creating a style built around catchy melodies, confidence, emotion, and self-expression.
With “Superman,” Cena continues her journey of establishing herself as a global African pop artist while delivering a song that listeners can easily connect with — whether they are celebrating a new relationship, expressing their feelings to someone special, or simply enjoying a beautiful love song.
“Superman” showcases Cena’s ability to combine a relatable love story with an infectious contemporary sound, making the track a fitting addition to playlists dedicated to romance, feel-good moments, and modern African pop.
