Digital Creator Africa (DCA) today announced the highly anticipated Digital Creator Africa Summit 2025, a landmark event set to empower African content creators, online filmmakers, and digital storytellers with practical strategies for monetization and long-term success.
The summit, themed “Monetize Your Creativity,” will take place on September 18, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, as part of the Africa Creative Market (ACM), Africa’s premier gathering for the business of creativity.
The Opportunity is Enormous
With Africa’s creator economy projected to surge from $3.08 billion in 2023 to over $17.8 billion by 2030, the opportunity is enormous. Yet many creators across the continent still earn below ₦100,000 (approximately $65) monthly, with limited access to monetization tools, networks, and platforms. The DCA Summit aims to bridge this gap, fostering sustainable careers and diversified income streams for digital storytellers, user-generated content creators, and young filmmakers across the continent.
“The talent is here. The audience is global. What’s missing for most creators is the bridge between creativity and cashflow,” says Ifeoma (‘Oma) Areh, Convener of Digital Creator Africa. “At DCA Summit 2025, we’re building that bridge with insights, tech, connections, and real-world monetization strategies that creators can apply instantly. Whether it’s content creation, AI, digital filmmaking, brand deals, or education and more, we’re giving creators the blueprint.”
“This summit represents everything Africa Creative Market stands for – creating platforms where African creativity can thrive economically,” says Dr. Sarah Inya Lawal, Founder of Africa Creative Market. “When we bring together the continent’s most innovative creators with global industry leaders, we’re not just facilitating conversations; we’re building the infrastructure for Africa’s creative future. The Digital Creator Africa Summit is a testament to our commitment to ensuring African creators can compete and win on the global stage.”
