    Providence Homes has officially unveiled a landmark 400-acre Cocoa Plantation Farm Estate at Providence Farm City, Alabata, Abeokuta, Ogun State. This innovative project, led by Managing Director Samson Uyi, gives individuals the opportunity to own a secure and profitable farm in Nigeria.

    The launch, timed with the July planting season, introduces a fresh model where farmland ownership meets expert-managed cocoa and plantain cultivation. It is a venture designed for those who desire long-term income, safety, and a direct connection to the agricultural value chain.

    Speaking at the launch, Samson Uyi described the vision behind this project with enthusiasm.

    “This is not just a farm. We are creating a space where people can own their land, enjoy the security of a managed system, and still have the freedom to monitor and participate in their own agricultural journey. Providence Cocoa Plantation Farm Estate is a pathway to wealth creation through agriculture and it is designed for anyone who wants to invest in something that grows,” he explained.

    The model is simple and clear. Each client owns their allocated land outright, while the Providence team takes responsibility for planting cocoa and plantain on the land and, if desired, assisting with harvesting. Buyers also have the opportunity to monitor their farms directly at Providence Farm City in Alabata, Abeokuta.

    This structure ensures that even those with little agricultural experience can benefit from a modern, managed farming system.

    In this launch phase, one acre of farmland—equivalent to six plots—is being offered for 5.1 million naira. This package includes the cost of the land, full documentation, and the planting of 500 cocoa trees alongside 500 plantain trees. For those who prefer a larger investment, one hectare of land, which is 15 plots, is available at 13.1 million naira and includes documentation as well as the planting of 1,300 cocoa trees and 1,300 plantain trees.

    Uyi emphasized that the planting season has begun and urged investors to take advantage of this early phase.

    “We are starting with those who have believed in this project from day one. The ground is ready, the planting has started and this is the perfect opportunity for new participants to join and make the most of this season,” he said.

    Beyond farming, the vision for Providence Cocoa Plantation Farm Estate includes the development of green spaces, wellness areas, and a serene environment where nature and investment go hand in hand. The estate is planned as a city away from the city, offering a balance of income generation and leisure.

    According to Uyi, This project gives you more than land. It gives you a legacy. It gives you security. It gives you peace of mind.”

    With the launch of the Cocoa Plantation Farm Estate in Alabata, Abeokuta, Providence Homes is opening doors to individuals who want to be part of a modern, structured agricultural future.     The July 21 appointment letter from the Presidency, sighted by our newsroom, forms part of a broader reshuffle that sees eight new envoys deployed to strategic posts including South Korea, Italy and Kenya. But it’s the Saudi Arabia posting that’s generating the most buzz in diplomatic circles, given the Gulf nation’s growing importance to Ghana’s economic interests.

    “Sinare isn’t just going as an ambassador – he’s going as Ghana’s chief negotiator in one of our most critical bilateral relationships,” a Foreign Ministry insider revealed. “From oil deals to Hajj arrangements and infrastructure financing, Riyadh has become too important to leave to inexperienced hands.”

    The ever ambitious diplomat brings rare credentials to the table, having previously served as Ghana’s top envoy in both Saudi Arabia and Egypt. His deep understanding of Arab diplomacy and extensive network across the region are seen as major assets at a time when Ghana is seeking to attract Middle Eastern investment.

    Political analysts view the move as part of Mahama’s strategy to rebuild Ghana’s diplomatic corps with proven performers. “This is back-to-basics foreign policy,” remarked University of Ghana international relations professor Nana Akosua Ankomah. “Rather than political appointments, we’re seeing the return of career diplomats who know how to open doors for Ghana.”

    The appointment has been widely praised within government circles, with NDC executives describing Sinare as “the right man to reconnect Ghana with our Gulf partners.” His supporters point to his track record of facilitating Saudi investment in Ghana’s energy sector during his previous tenure.

    Held under the theme “Connecting through African music, culture & the influence on the diaspora,” the event brought together influential voices from music, art, and entertainment to share insights on how Africa’s creative legacy continues to shape communities across the world.

    “This conversation is not just about music, it’s about history, people, and purpose,” Akeju said. “Beats & Roots is our way of honoring the past, celebrating the present, and shaping the future of African influence around the world.”

    The high-level panel featured notable industry leaders, including David Ponte, Co-Founder and CMO of Audiomack; Laolu NYC, the Nigerian-born, Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist known for collaborations with Beyoncé, Serena Williams, Burna Boy, Alicia Keys, and others; and Olivia Theresa Longott—popularly known as Olivia, the “First Lady” of G-Unit and a pioneer voice from VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York.

    Moderating the panel was respected Hot97 Morning Show host and youth empowerment advocate Shani Kulture, who guided the discussion with authenticity and passion.
