I wrote Ride or Die on a night when my phone was dry. No check-ins. No “you good?” texts. Just silence.
A lot of people showed up when things looked good. Cameras out, reposts, “we outside.” But when it got quiet, when the money was funny and the plans fell through, the circle got real small.
I remember sitting with one beat on loop, no hook yet, just thinking about who actually called me back. Who pulled up with gas money and no questions. Who never asked what I could do for them next.
PHAEMOUS was one of them. ROKO was one of them. When I said “I need verses that feel like blood,” they didn’t send prices. They sent fire.
That’s what this record is. It wasn’t made in a label camp. It was made by the ones who said “we’ll figure it out” instead of “call me when it’s done.”
