Emmi Edwin Shares a Beautiful Message of Love in New Single “IMA”
Fast-rising Nigerian singer and songwriter Emmi Edwin has released her captivating new single, “IMA,” a heartfelt Soul Afro record that explores the true meaning of love. Produced by Barnabas Gideon, the song is now available on all major digital streaming platforms.
More than just a love song, “IMA” reflects love in its purest form. Through soothing melodies, honest lyrics, and Emmi Edwin’s soulful vocals, the song speaks about the kind of love that is safe, gentle, intentional, and unconditional. Whether it is romantic love, friendship, family, or God’s love, “IMA” reminds listeners of the love everyone longs to experience.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Emmi Edwin shared:
“IMA was supposed to be a mainstream gospel song, at least I thought so when I wrote the chorus. With time and sitting more with it, I discovered how beautifully I kept describing love in its purest forms. IMA is my definition of love, to me, it’s THE definition of love, whether romantic, platonic or parental. IMA (LOVE) is how I view and experience love from God, and it’s also how I think we all want to be loved—safely, softly, intentionally and deeply.”
With its warm production, emotional delivery, and meaningful message, “IMA” showcases Emmi Edwin’s ability to connect with listeners through authentic storytelling and timeless music. The record blends Soul and Afro influences into a refreshing sound that is both calming and deeply relatable.
As she continues to establish herself as one of Nigeria’s promising new voices, Emmi Edwin delivers a song that encourages listeners to appreciate genuine love in every form.
“IMA” is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, YouTube Music, and other major digital music platforms. If you’re looking for a song that speaks to the heart, “IMA” deserves a place on your playlist.
