Chimezie Richard Chima, professionally known as Dan RicHeE, is a Nigerian New School Ogene artist and songwriter, and the founder and creator of the New School Ogene movement. 
He is known for blending contemporary Afrobeats with culturally rooted Nigerian sounds, creating music that reflects street influence, emotional storytelling, and modern African rhythm.
Dan RicHeE rose to prominence with songs such as “Akonuche,” “Oganigwe,” and “Nwa Oma.”
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Dan RicHeE was born in Orlu, Imo State, Nigeria, and later grew up in Lagos State. He attended Adeviola Primary and Secondary School, Igando, where his interest in music began to take shape. Growing up in Lagos exposed him to a rich mix of musical cultures, which would later influence his sound and artistic direction.
CAREER
Dan RicHeE began his music career as an independent artist, steadily building a loyal fan base through consistent releases and relatable songwriting. He gained wider recognition with the release of “Akonuche,” a song that drew attention for its emotional depth and strong cultural resonance.
He further solidified his presence in the Nigerian music scene with tracks such as “Oganigwe” and “Nwa Oma,” showcasing his versatility and ability to connect with a broad audience. As the founder and creator of the New School Ogene movement, Dan RicHeE has played a key role in redefining and modernizing indigenous Ogene sounds for a new generation.
In 2024, he released his debut extended play, The Wave 1 (Original), a project that highlighted his artistic growth and positioned him as a rising figure within the Afrobeats and New School Ogene space.
